And on Friday, October 19th, we're hosting Johnny Cuviello's 92nd Birthday Bash at Patsy's Cowgirl Café, 8-11pm.

 

Johnny, aka the Texas Drummer Boy, played with Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys in the late 1940's and he's still swinging. Joining Johnny and the Texas Swing Kings is a phenomenal line-up of fantastic players including another Texas Playboy, the great Herb Remington on steel guitar, Floyd Domino, Rick McRae, Billy Mata, Bert Rivera, Maryann Price, Danny Levin, Road Moag, Billy Curtis, and many more wonderful surprise guests. There'll be a $5 suggested donation at the door.

Saturday,September 15 Patsy's Hosts Havoline Supremes reunion,10 years in the making featuring Mary Cutrufello


Mary Cutrufello is back in town @ Patsy's, this Saturday 09/15 with a special show focusing on the honky-tonk sounds with which Cutrufello made her name in the early mid-90's. The band includes originals Roland Denney on bass, Terry Kirkendall on drums-the original rhythm section. Expect Mary Cutrufello and the Havoline Supremes unique takes on classic Willie Nelson to Johnny Cash to originals.

3:10 to Yuma


THIS JUST IN ..... 3:10 to Yuma, starring Russell Crowe, Christian Bale, Ben Foster, Gretchen Mol and Peter Fonda in a modern take on the classic western by Elmore Leonard is having a sneak preview on Wednesday, September 5th at the Barton Creek AMC theatre hosted by PATSY'S COWGIRL CAFE, 5001 E. Ben White Blvd. 444-2020

Patsy's will be giving out free passes to the preview, so come in you favorite western wear for lunch Wed, while eating the Blue Plate Yuma Special which will be served till 3:10,normal lunch hours are 11-3:00. Later that evening join Foodie Rob Balon at Patsy's where the party continues with Patsy favorite 'Three-fer appetizer", salsa,queso, and Guacamole and 3:10

Tom Robinson Combo celebrate Charlie Parker

Join Austin saxophonist Tom Robinson Combo, 'Shiny Metal Instruments"
featuring Neil Peterson, Vince Vincent, Phillip Marshall at Patsy's
Cowgirl Cafe, Wednesday, August 29th from 8-10pm where they will
celebrate what would have been Charlie Yardbird Parker 87th birthday.

Born August 29, 1920 in Kansas City, Kansas, Charlie lived 'free as a
bird,' right up until his passing March 12th, 1955 in NYC. Parker will
always be remembered as the Father of Bee-Bop Jazz saxophonist . Tom
Robinson Combo will honor the 'Bird,' at Patsy's Cowgirl Cafe where
the flavor of the night will be Instrumental Sax. "Don't Play the
Saxophone, Let it Play You", Charlie Yardbird Parker.
