And on Friday, October 19th, we're hosting Johnny Cuviello's 92nd Birthday Bash at Patsy's Cowgirl Café, 8-11pm.

 

Johnny, aka the Texas Drummer Boy, played with Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys in the late 1940's and he's still swinging. Joining Johnny and the Texas Swing Kings is a phenomenal line-up of fantastic players including another Texas Playboy, the great Herb Remington on steel guitar, Floyd Domino, Rick McRae, Billy Mata, Bert Rivera, Maryann Price, Danny Levin, Road Moag, Billy Curtis, and many more wonderful surprise guests. There'll be a $5 suggested donation at the door.

Saturday,September 15 Patsy's Hosts Havoline Supremes reunion,10 years in the making featuring Mary Cutrufello


Mary Cutrufello is back in town @ Patsy's, this Saturday 09/15 with a special show focusing on the honky-tonk sounds with which Cutrufello made her name in the early mid-90's. The band includes originals Roland Denney on bass, Terry Kirkendall on drums-the original rhythm section. Expect Mary Cutrufello and the Havoline Supremes unique takes on classic Willie Nelson to Johnny Cash to originals.

THIS JUST IN ..... 3:10 to Yuma, starring Russell Crowe, Christian Bale, Ben Foster, Gretchen Mol and Peter Fonda in a modern take on the classic western by Elmore Leonard is having a sneak preview on Wednesday, September 5th at the Barton Creek AMC theatre hosted by PATSY'S COWGIRL CAFE, 5001 E. Ben White Blvd. 444-2020

Patsy's will be giving out free passes to the preview, so come in you favorite western wear for lunch Wed, while eating the Blue Plate Yuma Special which will be served till 3:10,normal lunch hours are 11-3:00. Join Austin saxophonist Tom Robinson Combo, 'Shiny Metal Instruments"
featuring Neil Peterson, Vince Vincent, Phillip Marshall at Patsy's

celebrate what would have been Charlie Yardbird Parker 87th birthday.

Born August 29, 1920 in Kansas City, Kansas, Charlie lived 'free as a
bird,' right up until his passing March 12th, 1955 in NYC. Parker will
always be remembered as the Father of Bee-Bop Jazz saxophonist . Tom
Robinson Combo will honor the 'Bird,' at Patsy's Cowgirl Cafe where
the flavor of the night will be Instrumental Sax. "Don't Play the

She’ll have several great, young pickers in her band including the phenomenal Django Porter. They’ll play some gypsy jazz, country standards, and some of Corrina’s original tunes.

‘If Patsy Cline and Brian Setzer were to have had a child who grew up listening to Billie Holiday and Keith Richards perhaps they’d sound like me.” Naturally Patsy owner Shannon Sedwick

Saturday, July 7th Jon Emery a.k.a. King of Hillbilly Rock-n-Roll will be performing with his six piece band before embarking on a European Tour. Emery's railroad rocketing, 180 proof ,white lightning band comes at you from all directions with a hard driving, high decibel, sound landing you on the dance floor - perfect for Independence Weekend. Emery a Vietnam Veteran should be saluted on this Patriotic Holiday.

On the lighter side Jon has recorded three children's albums and has played thousands of gigs in local schools, day care centers. where he known as 'The Music Man"At the request of Patsy's management Jon will be performing selected children's songs during

New Summer Menu and Live Jazz at Patsy's

Chef Ric Gonzalez will be launching Patsy's NEW Summer lunch and dinner menus on Thursday, June 21.

To celebrate, Patsy's will also present it's first Live Jazz evening featuring the Terry Bowness Trio with special guest drummer ERNIE DURAWA, Grammy Winner, Texas Music Hall of Fame. Ernie has performed with everyone from Delbert McClinton, Texas Tornado’s, Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, Dennis Quaid, Pat Martino to Tiny Tim. Terry Bowness on piano and Barry Saunders on guitar.
